Dubai: Artificial Intelligence Will Soon Analyze and Submit Traffic Accident Reports

Dubai: Dubai Police have unveiled a new mechanism for handling minor injuries on the road by leveraging synthetic intelligence (AI) technologies.

The new mechanism analyzes minor injuries and immediately sends reports to drivers without human intervention. It was developed as a component of the “Minor Accident Reports” service found on the Dubai Police app and website.

Currently, drivers present the main points of the destiny turn, which are then reviewed by a police officer, who then sends a report to the parties involved. In the future, the report will be issued without the use of a police officer, but through AI. Investigate the twist of fate and send the report to either party.

Maj. Gen. Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, director of the Dubai Police’s Artificial Intelligence Department, said the AI-based mechanism for planning minor injuries is being developed and tested lately.

“The goal is to improve public facilities in a smart and state-of-the-art way, speeding up the issuance of traffic reports, reducing manual processes by 50% percent and reducing traffic congestion caused by minor accidents,” he said.

Al Razooqi noted that the progression of the destiny reversal reporting service and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies fall under the directives of Lieutenant Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to frequently improve the force’s smart services, making transactions less difficult for users and saving them time and effort.

Al Razooqi noted that the Minor Accident Reporting Service allows drivers to self-report injuries, eliminating the need for a police vehicle at the scene. This prevents traffic jams and saves drivers time. The service is easy to use: drivers simply access the service, enter the mandatory main points such as the vehicle registration number, driver’s license numbers of any of the parties, capture photographs of the vehicles, and then wait for reports via email to send to insurance companies.

Once the service is upgraded with AI integration, 4 undeniable pilot steps will be required:

1. One of the interested parties will need to log in to the Dubai Police Smart App.

2. Present a driver’s license, ID card or license plate number of the vehicle and upload photographs.

3. La AI will then locate the culprit and the affected person and identify the locations of the damage.

4. The AI mechanism shall take into account the reversal of fate report.

The plan was revealed by the Dubai Police’s participation in the Gitex generation fair in Dubai.
