Dragon’s Dogma Anniversary Site Revives Hope for a Sequel

Capcom has unveiled an online page for the tenth anniversary of Dragon’s Dogma, reminding enthusiasts once again that there is no sequel. At least not yet. In fact, the online page was not planned, and the enthusiasts of the 2012 game began to buzz like bees. Capcom has already discussed that a sequel is on the horizon, but no announcement has ever arrived. However, society would possibly be suggesting that this is about to change.

Of course, it may also mean that Capcom is just celebrating its RPG masterpiece, and nothing more. Anyway, dragon’s Dogma subreddit enthusiasts are clamoring and talking about a sequel again. Eyes were on the official Dragon’s Dogma Twitter account, which, interestingly, makes a slight wink.

“Ten years ago, the tough Dragon, Grigori, sealed a fateful pact with Arisen with the release of Dragon’s Dogma,” the message reads. “As we look to the future, we will also reflect on ten years of endless adventures, and I invite you to sign up for the celebration!”

Interessant. La delight of hunting “into the future” actually carries some weight. Dragon’s Dogma 2 may not be a knock in the dark.

Fans have been waiting for a Dragon’s Dogma 2 for an entire decade. Since its release, the game has won an expansion called Dark Arisen, as well as an animated exhibit on Netflix. We speculate on what a sequel could bring to the table and what may be replaced for the better. And that’s a few years ago. There is still no news until today. But it turns out there is hope.

It includes a message from the game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, thanking the fans. Itsuno, who continued with the Devil May Cry series, also left a message on Twitter that adds fuel to the fire. After thanking other people for the tenth anniversary, he wrote, “I can’t wait to paint with you!”

Will Dragon’s Dogma, in spite of everything, become the “big franchise” that Capcom promised us ten years ago? It’s hard to say, but all these taunts have to lead to something in the future. Hopefully, this is not a twentieth anniversary website.
