Playing with a short break after a double loss in a game 1 overdue, the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Boston Bruins 3-2 in Game 2 on Thursday to tie the most productive series of seven first-round series in 1-1.

The groups began inadvertently with back-to-back competitions after the first game originally scheduled for Tuesday was postponed for Wednesday afternoon. Boston and Carolina were scheduled to play at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, but the last game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning required five overtime, stretching to the window of the Bruins and the Canes.
Boston won the first game on purpose through Patrice Bergeron 1:13 in the overtime period, meaning the two clubs defended themselves only 24 hours after competing for 82 minutes. Unfortunately for the Bruins, Boston does so without the end David Pastrnak, who has been declared unworthy to play.
That didn’t seem to worry the Hurricanes, as they tied the first-round series before Game 3.

Second scoring spree
How inconsistent is playoff hockey? One minute, no one scores; Next up is everybody. Well, do 4 minutes and 42 seconds.
That’s the time it took the Canes to go from 1-0 to 2-1, tied to two each.
Claude Julien was taken to hospital Wednesday night with chest pains; will go through tests and you’ll miss the rest of the series
