An adventure park appearing in DIY SOS tonight has a traumatic background.
The southmead site, Bristol, deteriorated after a series of disturbing events and left it absolutely useless for use.
Known locally as The Ranch, Bristol’s oldest adventure park built through the net and has been enjoyed and well used by many generations of local residents.
However, it endured an incredibly complicated time over the years, as it was set on fire through vile vandals, leaving the locals crying, and had to be rebuilt twice.
This isn’t the only major setback The Ranch suffered, as the board cut the budget for game delivery in 2013 and the playground was in danger of ending permanently in 2018.
Southmead Development Trust, which is a resident-run charity working for health, wellness and employment and to help keep the network strong, resilient and resourceful, has bravely taken control of The Ranch.
