A new indoor coronavirus testing site is opening in Heywood to prevent the virus from spreading.
The Heywood Civic Center facility will open on Wednesday, August 26 and will be open seven days a week between a.m. and p.m.
The control sites in Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood are open to those who need coronavirus control. You don’t want symptoms to appear.
The Heywood site, which first opens for 8 weeks, can perform more than 400 checks each day. Staff can provide a personal check box for anyone who wants to perform their verification confidentially.
The site also opens to the Rochdale Town Hall site and the Market Street car park in Middleton. The sites have conducted 13,444 tests to date.
Councilor Sara Rowbotham, a member of the Rochdale City Council’s Health and Welfare Cabinet, said: “More and more people who tested positive for coronavirus have no symptoms, so we inspire everyone to control the air. We want to identify who has the virus so we can prevent it from spreading. If you live in Heywood, make the most of this facility and book your e-check today. »
Tests in the Rochdale district have resulted in 32,859 tests.
Test centers operate seven days a week and you will have to walk, bike or drive with members of your home. You cannot be tested if you have used public shipping to get to the site.
You will need to bring your confirmation email to the site, as well as your non-public identification. Masks should also be worn at all times.

The Rochdale district, as well as the greater greater manchester district, has lately lived under local restrictions.
