Microsoft announced today that it has particularly expanded the list of supported languages through Copilot for Microsoft 365. Also, there’s a seventeenth that isn’t supported yet.
“Starting today, we’ll be rolling out Copilot for Microsoft 365 in 16 more languages,” Microsoft’s TJ Devine wrote in the announcement post. “These are in addition to the developing list of languages in which Copilot is already published: Chinese (Simplified), English (US, GB, AU, CA, IN), French (FR, CA), German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (BR) and Spanish (ES, MX). “

Newly supported languages include Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmal), Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
Microsoft separately notes that (traditional) Chinese, which in the past was available in the loose Copilot, is now also available, though not edited, in Copilot for Microsoft 365. (Traditional) Chinese will be available soon, however, there are still some issues to be solved first.
“Copilot for Microsoft 365 may not yet perceive all the colloquialisms or language conventions in a given language,” Devine adds. “We’re continually refining Copilot’s language features and encouraging users to provide us with actionable feedback. We also continue to expand the list of supported languages and will increase the percentage in the coming months.
