HANGZHOU, China and LONDON, August 10, 2020 / PRNewswire / – NetEase Cloud Music, one of China’s leading providers of interactive music streaming services, and Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music entertainment company, announced a multi-year deal license.
Under the agreement, NetEase Cloud Music will directly distribute UMG music, adding domestic and foreign recording artists, on its NetEase Cloud Music and related virtual streaming platform in China.
NetEase Cloud Music subscribers will be able to access available music from UMG’s full list of artists, catalogs and distributed labels, which in combination constitute the maximum complete collection of recordings, covering all music genres.
NetEase Cloud Music and UMG will also paint in combination to create cutting-edge campaigns and projects that will allow music enthusiasts in China to interact with Chinese national artists and the foreign skill of UMG from around the world. The agreement will also expand the scope of premium offerings and reports to be presented to music enthusiasts in China through NetEase Cloud Music.
