DUBLIN, GA (41NBC/WMGT) – Carl Vinson VA Medical Center accelerates appointment registration.
A new veteran app to check-in on the day of an appointment and even complete a pre-registration process up to seven days in advance.
The procedure begins by scanning a QR code through the VA which will then cause the user to fill in non-public information.
If veterans are comfortable with their phones, they can still use the kiosks on site.
Seandell Mills, VA administrative officer, says the app is available to the citizens of Perry and Milledgeville and will soon be rolled out in the Dublin area.
“One of the things I definitely need veterans to know is that they’re not afraid to ask questions,” he said. “We are still here. We have the clinical staff who are in a position to help. We have the administrative staff who are in a position to help, and everything we do is to get veteran advantages.
The VA says it will deal heavily with veterans any issues they have with the app.
