An instructor at a British Columbia high school has been charged with sexual offences against two students, as well as harassment and extortion.

The RCMP says an instructor at Kootenay River High School in Creston was charged Sept. 8 and released under conditions, adding a ban on contact with alleged victims.
Humans are also prohibited from entering a park or public land.
Police say the crimes occurred between October 2022 and June 2023, while the boy was training at school in southeastern British Columbia.
He is charged with sexual exploitation, sexual assault, harassment of offenders, extortion, telecommunications to lure a child and possession of child pornography.
The first sergeant. Brandon Buliziuk, commander of the RCMP detachment in Creston, says that because some of the communications have taken place over the Internet, it is conceivable that others are aware of the violations but have not spoken out.
Buliziuk says anyone who has data or who may have been directly affected touches Creston RCMP.
The next teacher cut will be on September 28.
