NFL education camps might be unorthodox this year, but that hasn’t stopped the bustle of all 32 teams.
While players will use a cushion until mid-August and the preseason was completely canceled, feedback from coaches and players, as well as images, reports and rumors, paint an attractive picture of rumors at the beginning of the education camp process. .
Whether it’s players waiting for a Super Bowl, rumors of firm additions, loose additions or big potential leaps for big names, the camp mill is anything spectators can count on to stay the same.
Here’s a look at the biggest upheaval of the early parts of the camp with a verdict for everyone.
Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants need to sell a fresh start with new head coach Joe Judge.
But the truth can be a little more complicated.
However, Barkley made the case to reporters.
“What does it tell me that it may be different? First, it’s a whole new year. It’s a new beginning,” said the ball carrier. “From what I have noticed in the early days, in my opinion, we are one step ahead. We’re coming in, we’re locked up. Are mistakes made? Yes, that’s part of the nature of formula learning and learning a new violation.”
A new start-up might not mean a smart start-up, as implementing a new formula is not a quick process, especially in this strange off-season. To complicate matters, it’s the elimination of Nate Solder’s left star shot, which means that a mix of veteran Cameron Fleming, first-round out andrew Thomas and third-round outing Matt Peart will have to be started in the forward to Daniel Jones.
While Barkley’s production is likely to be good, Jones is at his time of season and last year struggled to succeed in a final touch percentage of 61.9 with 3,027 yards and 24 touchdowns versus 12 interceptions.
Although 2020 is technically a new beginning, it has seemed like a transition and/or progression year for a team that has won no more than five games in a season in the more than 3 years.

It didn’t take long for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to make a good impression on new head coach Mike McCarthy.
McCarthy one or two things about the quarters given his record with the post, and already sings Prescott’s praises.
“I am very satisfied with your stage and very impressed,” McCarthy told reporters. He added: “I appreciated his personality. He’s very optimistic, very motivated. I’d say he picked up the point where he left it based on what I was told about him to the extent he operates. Very detailed. In its preparation”. . “
McCarthy, who oversaw names such as Aaron Rodgers and even soon Brett Favre, would love what he inherited in the middle when he took office. While Prescott’s off-season was plagued by hypotheses as to whether he would gain a long-term extension after being ranked as a franchise, he is a 65.8% pin, the highest of his career, with 15778 yards and 97 touchdowns as opposed to 36 interceptions with a 40-24 record.
It would be wise to hear that the head coach accused of being more artistic than his predecessor is already a fan of the franchise’s smuggler. In addition, Prescott introduces Ezekiel Elliott and launches Amari Cooper, recently rehired, and CeeDee Lamb, recently recruited.

In a low season dotted with big moves and captivating whims, the Indianapolis Colts Exchange for DeForest Buckner of the San Francisco 49ers did not get the attention it deserved.
The Colts have won at least seven games in the last two seasons and added a Buckner player who had 19.5 catches in his last two seasons, as well as a score of 78.8 Pro Football Focus last year.
Buckner now approaches the Super Bowl for his new team.
“My short stature last year left me with a bad taste in my mouth,” he told reporters. “Obviously, not many guys are going to get to this game in their careers, but also when you get there, you have to make it count. And I couldn’t tell last year. So I feel like we have the team that can do it, and we have to do it.”
However, problems with this idea abound. Quarterback Philip Rivers joined a new team for the first time in his long run in a difficult offseed season and recoiled last season (23 touchdowns, 20 interceptions). The Colts did not have a first-round pick due to Buckner’s one-year retired industry to spend only 3-3 in an ever-improving Southern AFC.
Buckner is expected to be added to a 41-catch defense a season ago. But the uncertainty under the center ended last year when losers in five of the six and the bad off-season make a difficult task in one of the NFL’s most productive divisions.
The verdict: selling
Washington’s first-round pick, Dwayne Haskins, was not well placed last year.
The 15th overall variety was not allowed from the gates, saw a dysfunctional organization fire its head coach after five games and, despite everything, took action under an interim head coach.
Hope in Washington turns out to be that greater organizational stability from the most sensitive part to the back will lead to a big leap at the time of year for the former Ohio State star.
Consider guard Brandon Scherff as an all-in, as he told Haskins’ media, “doing a job.”
The new head coach, Ron Rivera, said Haskins had “done a wonderful study assignment and for that.” It’s been wonderful.
Wonderful as it may seem, he’s never so undeniable to young field marshals without a name, Patrick Mahomes. Rivera’s consistency and leadership will be huge for Haskins, however, their struggles last year (seven touchdowns and seven interceptions with a score of 67.6 PFF) may have done more harm than good. Washington is not still one of the NFL’s biggest rebuilding projects.
This doesn’t mean things aren’t getting better. Terry McLaurin is silently a broad elite, the offensive line is, in spite of everything, loose from Trent Williams’ drama and the seven defensive forwards flirt with elite status. But expecting a big leap from Haskins in what could be ranked as his rookie season in the box can be a mistake, not to mention the strange off-season.
The verdict: selling
The Seattle Seahawks have no symptoms of stepping on the brakes when it comes to chasing a Lombardi Trophy.
Seattle has taken a big step after a wonderful move in recent years, adding the addition of Duane Brown in the left take off Russell Wilson, making Wilson a wonderful game creator in the form of DK Metcalf and, more recently, offering elite security to Jamal Adams.
And the Seahawks won’t finish.
According to Michael Silver of the NFL Network, the Seahawks are interested in loose agents Clay Matthews and Everson Griffen, a couple of veterans who can spur the pass race.
There’s an attractive dynamic at stake. Speculation has connected the Seahawks to an assembly with Jadeveon Clowney, even though he’s not doing much to spur the pass race for a defense that had only 28 catches last year. Adams, even though classified as deep, is an elite butterfly hunter with 12 catches in 3 seasons and 16 pressures last season.
Either way, adding Matthews and his 8 catches in thirteen games last year would give a boost. Like Griffen, who has had at least 8 catches in five of his last six seasons, the atypical value of an injury-plagued campaign. At this pre-season level and with the obvious need, why not?

The Kansas City Chiefs defensive one year ago played a role in helping Mahomes and Co. to win everything.
Particularly impressive a passing race led by Frank Clark and Chris Jones, who won forty-five catches. Clark, in his first season with the team, had eight catches, while Jones had nine.
Clark followed his impressive first season by suggesting that the time of year for the tandem would be even better, and told reporters, “We’re going to be the two defensive linemen to play together.”
This is an exaggerated position, however, Clark is right to recommend that both have plenty of room to grow. The first season of the defensive wing in Kansas City saw a drop in catches, below 13 in the last year and his lowest score since his rookie season in 2015. Jones’ bags fell 15.5 in 2018 as injuries hampered production in 2019.
The big subject? A richer to richer technique for a team of bosses that has just won everything and continues to progress in a rebuilt defensive unit. Jones and Clark probably wouldn’t succeed in the most productive prestige of all time, but they’ll flirt with enough prestige to repeat themselves.
