Travelers to Broome County are encouraged to take note of road painting projects planned for the week of August 12. The Department of Public Works has defined a series of maintenance activities essential for the condition and protection of local roads.
Climate-appropriate paving operations deserve to be done on Prospect Street, which runs from Glenwood Road to Airport Road, and on Downs Avenue, which runs from Binghamton City Line to Airport Road. Motorists are invited to exercise caution and respect any transitory traffic adjustments implemented paving operations.
In addition, milling work will be carried out on Kattelville Road, from River Road to NYS Rt. 12A. Trench clearing and shoulder reconstruction will also be carried out on the roads, adding Old Highway 17, Stratmill Road, North Road, Knapp Road and East Maine Road.
