BAM’s modular response to Covid-19

BAM Ireland, decided through developer Marlet as the lead contractor for the one Lime Street residential progression on Dublin docks, says it will use modular structure techniques in the task to publicize social estrangement.

The assignment will include the structure of a block of 216 one and two bedroom apartments, as well as recreational and advertising services on the ground floor and more than 1,200 square meters of non-unusual landscaped areas.

Bam Ireland CEO Theo Cullinane said: “Moving forward with Marlet on One Lime Street is exciting given all the demanding situations that the industry, and even the country, have faced in recent times.

“BAM will use offsite prefabrication techniques to carry out this project. The superstructure, bathrooms and balconies will be manufactured and terminated off site. The benefits of off-site structure come with a reduced structure period, fewer operators on site, a greater environment for social remoteness and minimal disruption to local residents.

He added: “BAM is firmly committed to the protection of our staff and we are that these new measures aimed at selling social estrangement prove it.”

Marlet has also made adjustments to the formula to reduce the threat of the virus spreading the structural process. These come with the use of microbicide paint in bathrooms and walls in non-unusual areas, antibacterial door hardware, contactless access to buildings and what the company calls a “high-end” ventilation strategy.

In terms of long-term changes in progression itself, the company said features such as a giant driveway and a reception for congestion at peak times, a construction on the length of the elevators to allow social distance and home workspaces to facilitate domestic work. it will also be incorporated.

Construction will begin at the end of this month and end until the 2022 quarter.
