LIHU’E: Applications are being processed for the Kaua’i Small Business Boost program. Applicants will be informed within 3 days of the prestige of their application.
The app was opened at nine a.m. on August 24 a.m. on request. Up to six hundred small businesses and nonprofits were waiting to run in the first minute.
Unfortunately, this amount of immediate interest overloaded the applicationArray. Although the application did not fail, some requesters reported receiving error messages.
The following message posted on the site to help applicants navigate the outage: “Due to the increased number of queries, the online page is slower than usual. Continue updating your browser and check out again”.
By 12:30 p.m., 665 programs had been received. By 4:30 p.m., 886 programs had been received, the maximum likely to deplete the $5 million allocation.
As such, the kauaiforward.com site has been updated to imply that the application is already closed.
