Apple’s new iPhone 12 has a smaller battery than the iPhone 11

Information on the batteries of the new devices appeared in the documentation published through ANATEL (the Brazilian equivalent of the FCC) and shared through Tecnoblog. According to documents, Apple’s iPhone 12 has a 2,815mAh battery, which is less than 3,110mAh. iPhone 11’s internal battery last year. However, Apple notes that the iPhone 12 can handle the same 17 hours of video playback as its predecessor, probably as a result of the power gains of Apple’s new SoC and software refinement.

Apple’s iPhone 12 mini has a smaller battery, as expected, according to documentation, the iPhone 12 mini’s battery has a capacity of 2227 mAh, while the old-fashioned iPhone SE 2020 of $400 has a capacity of 1821 mAh.

Details about the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max have not yet been revealed, however, Apple has indexed the battery life of the iPhone 12 Pro in 17 hours of video playback, an hour less than last year. The larger iPhone 12 Pro Max offers the battery life of any iPhone: Apple notes that it can deliver 20 hours of video playback, such as last year’s 11 Pro Max.

The same anaTEL documentation indicates that Apple’s new iPhones are manufactured on Foxconn sites in Brazil and India, as well as in China. Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro were introduced on October 16, while pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will open on November 6. Early devices are expected to succeed among consumers next week.
