Spotify has accused Apple of abusing its power, as its opposition to the iPhone manufacturer helped cause a European Union antitrust investigation on the App Store.Epic Games recently filed an opposition to Apple (PDF) following Fortnite’s withdrawal from the App Store after Epic attempted to circumvent the 30% fee.
Epic is also suing Google, which also charges a 30% payment for in-app purchases on the Google Play Store on Android and also on Fortnite after Epic attempted a similar tactic there.
