From this guy dressed in an Apple Vision Pro on the New York City subway to this gym player putting it on while walking on the treadmill, the videos on social media of Apple’s new headphones are insane.
What’s even more appealing is the number of videos we’ve seen of Tesla drivers wearing the new $3,500 headphones. We don’t know why Tesla and Vision Pro combo videos are gaining popularity, but we thought we’d let you watch them yourself.
In a video posted via @iCaleb7, an Apple Vision Pro user is seen approaching what appears to be a red Tesla Model S.
By showing what they see inside the Vision Pro, the recording on the headphones displays a floating user interface that allows the Vision Pro user to access their Tesla. The driver is seen opening the trunk by simply pinching his fingers.
“The Tesla app works with Apple Vision Pro and can control a phone,” Caleb said in an X post.
Dante Lentini went viral for driving his Tesla with an Apple Vision Pro strapped on his face before seemingly getting pulled over by law enforcement.
Turns out, according to Gizmodo, none of this is real. It’s a parody. Lentini told Gizmodo that he drives for 30 to 40 seconds with the Vision Pro headphones.
Additionally, he parked his car next to an unrelated police activity, giving the impression that he was in serious trouble because he was wearing the head-mounted display.
The Vision Pro and Cybertruck are arguably the most futuristic and original products from Apple and Tesla, respectively, and we saw them combined in the social media landscape.
In a video that has garnered 17.2 million views to date, a Cybertruck driver is spotted wearing an Apple Vision Pro while driving.
“We’re so fucked,” said @blakestonks, the X user who posted the video.
“Never use Apple Vision Pro when driving a moving vehicle, bicycle, heavy machinery, or any other scenario that requires special attention to protection,” Apple said in a protection report. And yet, Vision Pro users don’t seem to be listening to the advice of the Cupertino-based tech giant.
@TheGrizz_ posted a troll video on Instagram of himself exiting a Cybertruck and imitating the funky gestures one needs to navigate the VisionOS UI. “What is wrong with this generation…” his caption asked in jest.
It is true that most of the videos you see on the web are montages. But of the few that are real, I still can’t help but wonder: Is this our future?
