Apple One introduced over five years ago, and whilst it has recently gotten some new features, there has never been a total new service added. But it looks like that may just replace later this year.
For years, Mark Gurman has been writing about a new paid service that Apple is launching.
He’s called it a ‘wellness and coaching’ service. This past weekend Gurman referred to it as ‘an AI-based coaching service’ that’s meant to bolster Apple’s huge health ambitions.
This new service, to Gurman’s previous reports:
He specifies:
The concept is to use AI and knowledge from an Apple Watch to make advice and create training systems tailored to express users
And in the report, Gurman writes:
The first considerations for virtual fitness and fitness trainer come with the ability to generate food, sleep, and workout recommendations from knowledge gathered from Apple devices. . . There are also concepts to take advantage of virtual cameras. ‘device to track and correct the form of users while exercising, to a feature presented on the TV-connected training device of Peloton Interactive Inc.
In other words, where Apple Fitness+ focuses on offering training content, this new AI promoted service will have a more holistic approach. He will analyze his knowledge of physical aptitude and offer intelligent advice on how to live a life.
Call it Apple Coach, Apple Wellness, or anything like that. Normally I’d go for Apple Health+, except Gurman says it will be a standalone app, so it doesn’t make much sense.
Gurman doesn’t specifically address whether this new service will be included in Apple One, but there’s little doubt that it will—like every other paid Apple service.
Apple One Premier has recently provided six services:
Premier’s appeal of Apple’s most recent plans is limited to a few exclusive benefits:
The addition of a service like “Apple Coach” can attract even more users to the next Apple One tier.
This can also motivate more Apple ONE records in general, since the grouped offer would not only provide the adequate entertainment offer, but also essential health functions.
Gurman’s last mention about the artificial intelligence training service occurred in his review of Apple’s plans by 2025.
The context of the benchmark is a bit confusing as to whether the service will debut this year, or that is still unknown.
But there are many reasons why 2025 is the right time.
Apple just launched its first AI features in iOS 18, and is undoubtedly preparing another big Apple Intelligence push in iOS 19.
This doesn’t make sense as a separate app and service. It makes more sense to be a part of fitness+
The company has also reportedly “planned a revamped fitness app” and plans to ship several products this fall with new fitness features:
All new Fitness functions of Apple and the extensive knowledge that their devices can gather adapts perfectly to the launch of Apple Coach in autumn, either as an autonomous payment service and as an Apple One component.
Apple’s services business has steadily grown every year, despite not much changing about the company’s Apple One offerings. I’m eager to see not only what Apple could have in store with this ‘Apple Coach’ service, but also potential other additions to the Apple One bundle in the future.
