Apple warned that the diversity of the iPhone 12 was delayed, but the company possibly just released an unexpected new release date.
Viewed via nineto5Mac readers with eagle eyes, Apple briefly threw a verification thread on its official YouTube account for a live occasion to be held on September 10. It’s the same date as the release of iPhone 11 last year, and fits perfectly with previous iPhone release dates: September 12 (iPhone XS, X), September 7 (iPhone 7), September 9 (iPhone 6S, 6).
Despite this correlation, there have been some attempts to reduce it. Reliable forecaster Jon Prosser turned him down, which is general as he had promised him a very later date (which he also disputes). Interestingly, the maximum doubts are reduced to two false assumptions.
First, a popular claim that Apple never celebrates chances on Thursdays. It’s true. Apple held hardware release times in the third quarter on a Thursday in 2010, 2014 and 2016. There is also the myth that iPhones are only released on Tuesdays, when two of the last 4 iPhone releases (iPhone XS, 7) took up position on a Wednesday.
Second, when Apple’s leading monetary director, Luca Maestri, showed that the iPhone 12 line would be “available a few weeks later,” he was talking about his offering, and many thought his ad would also be delayed. Prior to Maestri’s comments, the occasion was set for early September, while the next two leaks stirred the water with claims from split release programs.
All of this makes Thursday, September 10, perfectly believable. In addition, Apple also has a long history of subsidizing investors. After making the claim “a few weeks later” of its recent (stratospheric) results, the company is probably now working day and night to overdeliver.
Is the diversity value of the new iPhone 12 whatever the extra wait? Yes and no. Diversity features new 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes, great functionality updates, sleek new design, smart camera technology, competitive pricing and 5G. Small batteries, some other big notch and some other rival demonstration technology of the year, pass in front of them.
The irony of all this launch/throwing hypothesis is that the biggest winners can be the iPhone enhancers who should expect a little longer anyway.
