iPhone 14 leaks are starting to spike as its launch approaches, and now we can take a look at what the full lineup will look like.
Longtime Apple leaker Sonny Dickson is the latest scoop, releasing convenient video with dummy models of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. And it highlights the larger external adjustments that are coming up in the range.
Let’s take them down.
1. Goodbye notch
Perhaps the most debatable update to the iPhone 14 lineup is Apple’s resolve to not only remove the notch, but update it with a double-punch “i” design unique to Pro models. This has led some iPhone enthusiasts to claim that the design is a step backwards, but Apple has committed to the next update across the line in 2023.
It’s a visual update and the biggest update in iPhone design since the arrival of the iPhone X in 2017.
2. Large cameras
The moment of replacement that catches the attention of the fictional sets is the length of the new rear cameras of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Apple has been suggested to upgrade the Pro models to 48MP number one sensors that are up to 35% larger than the 12MP ones. Unity on all thirteen iPhone models and Dickson’s video shows the dramatic consequences this has on the new camera bulge. Lined up along the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max (which stick to the 12MP sensor), they look giant.
Could this be the first year that there is dramatic photo quality between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models?
3. iPhone 14 Max-ed
Finally, we come to the logo of the new member of the range: the iPhone 14 Max, which replaces the thirteen 5. 4-inch iPhone Mini. Dickson’s fictional sets show that this is a massive device that’s as giant as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. and either is designed to play with 6. 7-inch screens.
Large screen sizes are becoming more and more popular and I suspect this alone will make the iPhone 14 Max a success, but that means small phone enthusiasts are now forced to expand to the 6. 1-inch iPhone 14/iPhone 14 Pro than the smaller phones in the range. They’ll also have to pay more because the iPhone 13 Mini was the entry-level option, while the iPhone 14 Max will sit on top of the iPhone 14.
Add in the claim that iPhones will transfer to USB-C in 2023 (port changes often have a big impact on the price used of older models) and consumers are faced with a much higher upgrade resolution than the general one and not much time to think about it.
