Looks like Apple’s iPad Air is about to update. Here’s everything we know and why I’m convinced that a surprising new fourth-generation iPad Air is just a few days away, adding a report from a reliable forecaster.
Two iPads have been revealed
In the Eurasia lists, two other iPad styles were detailed in terms of style numbers. More main points here. The fact that there are two styles is intriguing in itself, adding later.
It’s the iPad Air.
The last update to iPad Air was in March last year. Since then, the iPad Pro and iPad have been updated (the iPad mini was last updated along with the existing Air). The level iPad is continuously updated more than other models, maybe this is the time of the iPad?
Patterns with leaks
There have been conflicting leaks suggesting what’s coming. An iPad Air manual with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor is suspected of appearing on the power button. Then there were diagrams that showed a new logo design that looks a lot like the iPad Pro with its flat edges and all -screen appearance.
The forecaster says so
Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech has a strong but not perfect track record when it comes to predicting Apple products and it’s his latest report that closes the deal for me. Your most recent tweet comments on what’s going to be presented and the fourth iPad Air Generation is on your list. Regardless of any errors that may have occurred before, it is incredibly accurate as to what product this will be.
And there’s the iPad
Yes, you will see that the Prosser tweet also says that the entry-level iPad will also be announced, which will be the eighth generation version. Personally, I hope time flies’ reference to Apple’s occasion has only referred to an iPad Pro upgrade with its LiDAR sensor (which is similar to flight time, included?). Of course, it only happened a few months ago, however, this may have been a possibility to update the Pro with a new logo processor, which some critics felt had not been sufficiently updated to the existing Pro. Although, frankly, it’s still very fast.
Anyway, it turns out that this is not the case and that the iPad itself will be the pill of the moment in the series.
What else do we know?
The leaks were difficult to handle because they contradicted others and because Apple controlled to keep a fairly tight lid on the iPad this year. Rumors of an entry-level iPad with Face ID seem outlandish, the Touch ID force button on a confusing iPad Air. After all, why would Apple introduce a new logo unlock formula when it already has two correct settings? If you’re thinking of switching from the same previous Touch ID button, is switching to Face ID the way forward?
Of course, there’s also an Apple Watch or two that will also be announced, all the main points here.
If there are any more leaks until Tuesday, I’ll cover them, so check again.

I’ve been writing about the generation for two decades and I’m surprised at how the industry is moving from unexpected innovation to persistent repetitiveness.
