With what will likely be the latest edition of Apple’s iPhone iOS 15 software, iOS 15. 5 is now online, Apple’s attention and ours will be focused on the next big thing: iOS 16.
We know the timeline: presentation at WWDC, first developer a few days or even hours later, public beta a few weeks later and general in September.
Well, we know that the filing date is Monday, June 6, so that’s where we started from.
But Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman tweeted that this year, the first public beta will be late. This is good news for Apple enthusiasts who are developers but still need to test the new software as soon as possible.
Gurman says the same previous process is for the public beta to land alongside the current beta, but this year it appears to be alongside the third beta, which will likely take a position in July.
So, at first glance, maybe two or three weeks later than normal.
But this is because it suggests that there are too many bugs in the software to make an older public beta possible. And if there are insects now, it has a domino effect for the later parts of the beta trip.
Does this mean that the latest software may come too late with the iPhone 14, which is expected in September?Absolutely not, but it may mean that some of the features Apple will announce on June 6 won’t be available for iOS 16, and will instead remain for iOS 16. 1, 16. 2 or whatever.
However, there is room for hope. Gurman says “things are still fluid and can change. “Let’s bet Apple will do everything it can now to get things back to normal as soon as possible.
On the other hand, I think it would be better to be a week or two in the first steps than to threaten an edit with errors later.
Gurman also said there will be new Apple apps and new tactics for interacting with the system. In this case, it will be even more important to get rid of wrinkles as soon as possible.
