Like their mobile counterparts, these processors combine four Zen CPU cores and built-in Radeon 700M graphics with RDNA 3 GPU cores, which the company says enables discrete graphics for PC gaming (at least for some titles). for desktops, they consume more power and have higher CPU base frequencies.

Keep in mind that some features are exclusive to the higher-priced members of the Ryzen 8000G lineup.
For example, only the Ryzen 7 8700G and the Ryzen five 8600G have incorporated Ryzen AI NPUs for hardware-accelerated AI performance. Only the Ryzen 7 chip has the company’s highest-performing built-in GPU with 12 RDNA 3 compute units. And the two least resilient members of the family feature a combination of smaller Zen 4 and Zen 4c CPU cores.
Still, they seem like attractive chips to other people who need a desktop that can play games without spending money on a discrete GPU, or a general-purpose computer that can take advantage of the CPU and GPU for productivity or content creation tasks.
Of course, if you want impressive graphics performance, the merit of a desktop formula is that it’s much less difficult to load a discrete GPU than a laptop.
