Amazon for 1,500 new Pittsburgh workers

PITTSBURGH, PA – Amazon announced Tuesday that it plans to rent more than 1,500 full-time and part-time workers in the Pittsburgh area. Applicants can apply online at amazon.com/pittsburghjobs for more than 1,000 full-time positions at their new distribution center at Imperial and plenty of full-time and part-time positions at the new Coraopolis delivery post.

Employees will get a salary of at least $15 depending on the time.

Workers at the company’s new distribution center will select, package, and ship larger items, adding bulk paper and cleaning items, sports equipment, food and supplies for puppies, electronics, and family items. In addition, Amazon recently announced a delivery station in Coraopolis that will force Amazon’s last mile delivery features to Customers in Allegheny County.

“We are excited to continue our expansion and investment in Pennsylvania with a new distribution center and delivery station in Allegheny County,” Robert Plemmons, Amazon’s site administrator, said in a press release. “For nearly a decade, Keystone’s state has been the key to Amazon’s ability to serve our customers, and we’re proud to create more than 1,500 new jobs, in addition to the 16,000 existing workers across the state, who get the best pay and benefits to increase from day one.”
