Big news in the land of electric cars: Tesla announced that its non-Tesla supercharger pilot program has expanded to include in the UK and a few other European countries. Clearly, this means that all electric cars on our shores can now use Tesla’s fast charging. Stations
Tesla said 15 supercharger stations in the UK will be part of the pilot program to get started, meaning 158 individual chargers will now be available for those who haven’t purchased an electric vehicle designed through M. Musk.
Drivers will be able to use the Tesla app to locate stations and rate their cars, and the company is also launching a club model that provides the option to pay £10. 99 per month to access a lower value per kWh. If you don’t sign up for this, pay around £0. 60 per kWh to a Supplier from Suconsistente if you don’t drive a Model 3, Y, S or X. Expensive, but it would be worth it considering the reliability of the network.
The non-Tesla Supercharger motive force was first introduced in November 2021 and has so far only been active in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Norway. This expansion attracted the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden and Austria.
“Access to an extensive, convenient and reliable fast charging network is critical to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles,” Tesla says. “That’s why, since we opened our first Superchargers in 2012, we’ve been committed to rapidly expanding the network. Today, we have more than 30,000 Superchargers worldwide.
“Tesla drivers can continue to use those stations as they have, and we will monitor each site for traffic jams and pay attention to consumers about their experiences.
“More consumers, the Supercharger network allows for faster expansion. Our purpose is to be informed and iterate quickly, while proceeding to aggressively expand the network, so that we can eventually accommodate Tesla and non-Tesla drivers in each and every Supercharger in the world.
