AlbanyCanCode holding virtual fall software programming courses

I have long been a vocal advocate for more women in the Cap Region’s tech sector and am thrilled that Albany Can Code is creating pathways for all people into the Region’s technology economy. Albany Can Code would not be what it is without some truly amazing people believing in this work early on like John Haller, Miriam Dushane, Matt Wagoner, David Wojeski, Kathy Lanni, Dan Cullen, Lois Johnson, Ed Murphy from WDI, Lisa Harris and Kelli Arnold.

I graduated from Albany Can Code in front-end web development and currently act as a freelance web developer. (Will Waldron/Times Union)

Being a part of Albany Can Code and seeing its incredible impact has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

TROY – AlbanyCanCode and the new KingstonCanCode software programming educational nonprofits are holding fall courses online starting Sept. 14.

The front-end web development course that KingstonCanCode is offering in partnership with SUNY Ulster will be its first-ever.

Front-end web development includes creating the user interface on a a web application.  AlbanyCanCode is offering courses on JavaScript fundamentals and automated web and security testing, which focuses on software used to test the performance and security of a website.

Details on how to apply for the courses are on the AlbanyCanCode website.
