Ghana suffered a setback in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar, with Joseph Aidoo out.
According to the website of the Ghana Football Association, the Celta de Vigo player has injured his ankle and will not be able to face Barea at the Cape Coast Stadium.
“Defender Joseph Aidoo has been excluded from the 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between Ghana and Madagascar after being injured in training,” it reads.
“The Celta de Vigo boy twisted his right ankle education and was excluded from Wednesday’s match.
“Aidoo, who missed Monday’s training, is lately being watched by the medical team as he undergoes a full rehabilitation procedure to recover. “
The 26-year-old’s absence will be a setback for the country’s arrangements due to his impressive performances for his elite Spanish departmental team.
In the 2021-22 campaign, Aidoo played 32 La Liga games while the Sky Blues finished 11th on paper after accumulating 46 numbers in 38 games.
At the time of the submission of this report, the GFA has not yet announced a replacement for the former Genk player.
Four days after Eric Rabesandratana’s team, the West Africans are the visitors to the Central African Republic four days later.
