The new Acer Spin Five (SPfive14-five1N) is a high-end convertible computer with a 14-inch, 2,560 x 1,600 pixel touchscreen, supporting up to a 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor and a starting price of $1,350. It is expected to go on sale in the U. S. USA and Europe in July.
Meanwhile, Acer’s new Spin 3 (SP314-55/N) is a cheaper model with a Full HD display and a few less bells and whistles, but a price starting at $850. This model will go on sale in Europe in June. , but it may not be released in the U. S. USA until August.
This Intel Evo-qualified computer is available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, up to 1TB of PCIe Gen four storage, and features an Intel Killer AX1675i WiFi 6E wireless card and two Thunderbolt ports.
The 2. 9-pound has a 14-inch IPS LCD touchscreen, 2560 x 1600 pixels, a 360-degree hinge and comes with an Acer active stylus with Wacom AES 2. 0 generation and supports 4096 degrees of voltage sensitivity.
The computer also has a full-size HDMI port, two USB 3. 2 Type-A ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. And Acer says the computer has a “TwinAir” cooling formula with two copper heat pipes. Fingerprint sensor on the force button and the computer supports DTS Audio.
Acer’s lower-cost Spin 3 is also a touchscreen computer with a 14-inch IPS LCD display, 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 360-degree hinge, and an active Acer stylus that fits into the computer’s internal frame when you’re not.
This style has two thunderbolt four ports, two USB 3. 2 Type-A ports, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack.
But it has an Intel AX201 wireless card that outperforms WiFi 6 than 6E, has lpDDR4X reminiscence than LPDDR5 RAM, has no fingerprint reader, and is a bit heavier, at 3. 1 pounds.
