Retail cooperative Ace Hardware has unveiled a new experiential store concept, called Elevate Ace, which will be rolled out to all new and existing retail locations over the next five years, backed by a $1 billion investment.
The new store design was unveiled at the retailer’s fall conference in Chicago earlier this month, which brought together more than 17,600 Ace Hardware stores and industry professionals to celebrate the brand’s centennial. The design will be rolled out in select locations starting this year and the rollout in all new and existing outlets is expected to launch in January 2025.
“Elevate Ace is rarely just a new store format; our vision is to excel at four things in the neighborhoods we serve: painting, electrical, landscaping and barbecue, as well as home preservation,” said John Venhuizen, president and CEO. from Ace Hardware in a statement. “We ride on the strength of local, and this initiative strengthens our network ties by creating experiential spaces that are not only places to shop, but also places to connect.
Ace Hardware will invest more than $1 billion in opening new retail locations and renovating existing ones over the next five years, and Venhuizen said the Elevate Acestore style “will be at the center of that investment. “
