UDA was founded by tech entrepreneur Kevin Yang and biomedical scientist Dr. Avi Roy, with a team made up of scientists from Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge, most of them experts in the field of opposite aging.

“The UDA’s project is to combat ageing in people all over the world. Tests on rats, fish, flies and worms have revealed that we can counteract the aging of biological systems,” Dr. Roy said.

The team is currently finalizing some changes to the existing formula and hopes to release the revamped edition as soon as possible. The main motivation for those changes is to meet the regulatory needs of the Chinese market.

“We reconfigured the formula because we need to have a bigger impact in China, which is a huge market. The Chinese have a different set of regulations than the rest of the world when it comes to supplements and beverages. It took us about two years and a lot of hard work to make sure we can deliver the same benefits while maintaining clinical rigor,” explained Dr. Roy.

Putting it to the test

To test their product, the team previously conducted a case study on healthy adults before and after eating UDA’s longevity coffee.

They claim that continuous coffee intake for six months reduces the biological characteristics of age by 6. 1 years.

They measured the participants’ biological age markers before and after coffee intake and the following:

(1) Reduction of epigenetic age (a DNA-based clock that reflects the age of your cells), (2) relief of PhenoAge (biomarkers of your physiological age), (3) increased telomere duration (telomeres are the protective caps on our chromosomes, which gradually shorten as we age), and (4) slowing down the rate of aging of DunedinPACE (an indicator of the rate of biological aging).
