“Right now, 25% of permanent networks have been damaged, and that’s a fact. More than 4,000 cellular communication stations have been destroyed or damaged,” Fedorov said at the presentation of the outlook for electronic communications to 2030.
Among the problems affecting Ukraine’s telecommunications industry, he cited cyberattacks and the burden on operators due to the need to manage the large roaming traffic of some four million Ukrainians displaced abroad.
As reported, the United States, through USAID projects, has helped repair more than 11,000 kilometers of telecommunications networks and repair the network of approximately 1,300 providers in Ukraine.
