A new electoral college opens in Urban League in Tallahassee

A new vote is expected to open at the Tallahassee Urban League, making voting more available in the Frenchtown area.

The site, for the electorate in Constituency 1301, will open at The Urban League headquarters at 923 Old Bainbridge Road.

League President Curtis Taylor said the new one provides even more accessibility to local residents.

“We are very happy to provide the vote to the citizens of our network and anticipate a fruitful appointment with the Supervisor of the Elections Office,” Taylor said in a press release speaking the new site.

“Local citizens living nearby can now walk if they are going to vote,” he added.

Previously, the electorate of that district voted at Lincoln Neighborhood Center. Voters living in the 1302th arrondissement will continue to vote downtown.

Residents will vote at this new location at the number one election on August 18 and the general election on November 3.

Voters can verify their constituency and electoral position at any time by visiting LeonVotes.gov and clicking on “Your Voter Information”.
