Regardless, the NFL has pulled out a piece of the puzzle by releasing the 2022 season schedule!
We’re still a few months away from the opening game, but it’s the last thrill on the calendar until educational camp begins later this summer.
The Indianapolis Colts have nine away games this year and will be at Lucas Oil Stadium 8 times. They have 4 games in time and two of them will be at home.

It’s a pretty simple choice, which NFL fan of any team is excited for the first game of the year? But for Indianapolis fans, it hasn’t ended well since 2013.
The Colts will have a chance to end some droughts in the first two weeks and begin their 8-game losing streak in the season opener. They will have the opportunity to end it on the road in front of a team they ruled in 2021.
The Texans managed to score 3 runs against the Colts last year in their two series losses. We’ll see if Indianapolis can repeat that good fortune on Opening Day.

The Week 18 loss to the Jaguars in 2021 is the first update in the Colts’ organization. This led them to leave Carson Wentz after a year and get Matt Ryan as a replacement.
The main disappointing defeat in Jacksonville was just the icing on the cake of the Indianapolis fights in Duval County. They haven’t won since 2014 and it’s also the last time the Colts have won the AFC South.
Although it looks like they win the first two weeks on paper, history says it will be hard to pull off. A 2-0 start will show that they are a different team than in the past.

After being born on the road in the first two weeks of the tour, the Colts will make their first appearance at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Chiefs. This is a primetime game and can potentially be an early glimpse of a playoff game. It’s also a great game for Indianapolis at the birth of the season. Patrick Mahomes is one of the many talented quarterbacks in the AFC, so it’s a litmus test of whether they can fight with a team of playoff caliber. Matt Ryan can show he can lift the offense to take on Kansas City’s offense. It may be a game with many explosive plays by either team.

It may not be easy for the Colts this season when they face the AFC West. Just weeks after facing the Chiefs, they hit the road for a Thursday night clash with the Broncos.
Of course, it will be a new Denver team with Russell Wilson at the helm. This elevates the primetime feeling when one of the quarterbacks is on the field.
The two groups haven’t faced each other since 2019 and the series is lately 14-14. Not only are bragging rights at stake, but with the AFC’s competitiveness, the end results may just be playoff positions.

There will be many eyes watching when Carson Wentz returns to Lucas Oil Stadium. I hope enthusiasts will boo him when he enters the box for the first time.
The Colts’ main office and training team will need to make sure he doesn’t take revenge and make them regret walking away from him. Matt Ryan manages to prove that he is the right quarterback to lead the franchise.
It’s also around the middle of the year, so we’ll see where Indianapolis stands in the standings and a win over their former quarterback can help them propel themselves toward the bottom of the schedule.

Prime time matches at Lucas Oil Stadium have been rare over the years. 11 of the last 14 primetime games have been away from home. This season, they have two at home and a Monday night game against the Steelers.
This game will be called up through the new MNF team of Troy Aikman and Joe Buck. Is Mitch Trubisky reviving his career or is rookie Kenny Pickett preparing for a forged first year?
An imminent demon for the Colts is that they have lost to the Steelers seven times in a row. His last win against Pittsburgh in 2008. Another bad streak that Indianapolis will look to end in 2022.

Just one day after Christmas, the Colts will host the Chargers for their final primetime game of the season. That, of course, assuming their last two games face the New York Giants and Houston Texans.
Justin Herbert is just one of the many talented quarterbacks indianapolis’ defense will have this season, but right now they’ll be put to the test.
While the Colts take care of business in the AFC South, it’s another matchup with an AFC West opponent that may be the symbol of the playoffs. It deserves to be a massive fit in front of a national audience for the organization. .
