If you’re tired of long mobile contracts with crippling monthly payments then Boost Mobile might be ideal for you. It might not offer as many fancy extras as your $90 per month premium plan, but it does provide simple, affordable plans on a contract-free basis, meaning more freedom and lower bills.
You can buy a new phone from Boost or bring your own device. Either way, you order a SIM card online and then you can activate your plan of choice on the website.
Here are some of the best Boost Mobile plans currently on offer!
2GB and 3GB plans
If you really don’t need much data, then there are 2GB and 3GB plans for $30 and $35 per month respectively. All the Boost plans come with unlimited talk and text, so if you don’t get through much data each month then you may want to consider these plans. They include SD video streaming and unlimited music streaming. You get hotspot data but it draws from your high-speed allocation.

Everything You Need
The Everything You Need plan is like the 3G plan, except with you get 10GB 4G LTE data per month. That makes it a bit of a no-brainer when choosing between the two, but there may be caveats. The Boost Mobile site doesn’t specify that this plan includes unlimited music streaming, and the small print also says your data usage ends after your 10GB allocation, rather than getting throttled to 2G. These appear to be the trade-offs from the 3GB plan.
The streaming speeds and mobile hotspot allocation work the same way as the Everything You Need plan.
The Unlimited Gigs plan sets you back $50 per month. You get unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE data, as well as 12GB of hotspot data and a subscription to Tidal Premium. Video streaming is capped at 480p, music at up to 500kbps, and gaming at up to 2Mbps. While your data is unlimited, you do get de-prioritized at times of network congestion.
Unlimited Plus
The 3GB, Unlimited Gigs, and Unlimited Plus plans all offer discounts for adding more than one line. But on top of that, there are three promotional packages to save you money on multi-line plans. All three offer unlimited 4G LTE data, with the usual de-prioritization caveat.
A three-line subscription to the Unlimited Plus plan would cost you $140 per month, so you’ll have to decide if the $40 savings are worth it for missing out on the frills.
To get the Wi-Fi hotspot you also need to purchase the Boost Coolpad Surf for $49.99. This mobile hotspot has a 2,600mAh battery that lasts up to 45 hours on standby or for almost seven hours of continuous use.
That’s everything Boost has to offer. If you’re looking for an affordable carrier but these Boost Mobile plans aren’t for you, check out the plans from these other MVNOs:
