For the first time in three days, no one was sent to the NBA playoffs on Tuesday night.
The Denver Nuggets have avoided elimination with a 117-107 victory over the Utah Jazz thanks to a 42-point, 8-point, 8-assist masterful effort from Jamal Murray.
On the other hand, the Los Angeles Clippers claimed a 3-2 credit to the Dallas Mavericks with a thrilling 154-111 victory that saw Paul George rediscover his “Playoff P” form (35 issues in 18 shots in 24 minutes).

The pride of purple and gold brings something new to the word “unstoppable.”
You can simply examine the art of protecting the NBA for years and years without finding the right way to harass a 6’9″ or 6’10” indoor strength with 253 pounds with perimeter and blasting abilities above the edge. This duo seemed absurd on paper as soon as it met last summer, and only fit more ridiculously in practice.
“That’s all I’ve ever dreamed of,” James told Spectrum SportsNet. “You know, I sense and know the point of skill you have on the ground, whether inside and outside the perimeter. He’s one of the unicorn players who can do anything.”
When James and Davis click simultaneously, the Lakers are practically up to the task. That’s what the Trail Blazers will report on quickly.
After Portland temporarily took a 1-0 lead, Los Angeles responded with 3 straight wins, one won through Davis (31 points, 11 plateaus in Game 2), the other through James (30 points, 10 assists in Game 4) and the other orchestrated through either (combined through 67 points, 23 rebounds and 16 assists in Game 3).
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers
This duo is rarely the only explanation for why the Clippers have been such a popular league pick since their last off-season, however, they are the most sensitive on the list.
Leonard and George are on a short list of the Association’s most productive two-way players. Although neither dominates basketball, neither can perform offenses and locate shots for themselves and their teammates. Each takes a three-point shot strong enough to play the other, and they are annual suppliers of more than 20 points, each can do as productive as possible on the defensive side.
Although George had a more difficult transition than Leonard, thanks in large part to surgery on either shoulder in the last off-season, it was only a matter of time before George burst. After suffering a terrible era since Games 2-4 (11.3 problems in 21.3% of shots), it was once again a troubled device in the fifth game.
If George continues like this, the Clippers can start looking back on the championship they’ve been preparing for since last summer. L.A. bombed the waring parties through 13.2 numbers per hundred possessions when their two stars shared the court this season, and the pair can produce a similar number at any time in the playoffs.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics
Let’s start with an admission: a component of what makes this duo so special is the fact that the Celtics are closer to a Big Three (or even a Big Four) than a couple of stars. With Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward on the list, Boston is not only alive or dying in the production of Tatum and Brown.
However, if that were the case, the Celtics could still be in good hands. Brown has an average of 21.5 problems with a 60.9 live shot consistent with the playoff percentage, and is the least productive of the two. Tatum goes for 27.0 consistent with the game while shooting 48.7% from the area and 45.2% from the distance. Both are also among basketball’s most flexible defenders.
“These two guys are super special talents,” Walker told reporters. “… It’s just a laugh to see. It’s a laugh to be a part of their growth.”
The Celtics are firmly in the heavyweight department of championship contenders, and their young wings are a component of it. They shared a net score of over 9.6 in the normal season and raised it to over 10.3 in the playoffs.
